About Shad

Shad was admitted as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2004 and practices in the area of Family Law and Criminal Law.

Before beginning his career as a lawyer, Shad worked as a tradesman and later in the Information Technology industry for such well-known companies as IBM Australia, Gateway 2000, and Baker & McKenzie.  During this time Shad received excellent training in Customer Service.

After being admitted as a Lawyer, Shad commenced lawyering as a general practitioner in rural New South Wales where he was exposed to a wide range of legal matters. It was during this time that Shad developed his interest and skills in both Family and Criminal law. Shad later worked for Legal Aid New South Wales where he assisted disadvantaged member of the community with their legal matters.

In the area of Family Law, Shad regularly advises clients in regard to divorce, nullity of marriage, children’s matters including parental responsibility, parenting orders, relocation issues, family violence, parenting plans, contraventions, and Property Matters. Shad regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia where he is a passionate and skilled advocate for his clients interests. Shad is solution-driven and seeks to resolve disputes where it is practicable to do so but he also advocates strongly when required.

In the area of Criminal Law, Shad is a staunch advocate for his client’s interests. Shad regularly advises and appears for his clients in regard to various offences, sentencing matters, case conferencing, bail applications, committal proceedings and criminal trials (both jury and judge alone).  Shad is highly skilled in Criminal Law practice and procedure. Shad has appeared in both the Magistrate’s Court and the District Court.

  • When he isn’t working, Shad enjoys volunteering at his local P.C.Y.C as a coach, the Olympic sport of Wrestling and Classical Guitar.
